The assignment
As a Sustainability Intern at Cefetra Group, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to our commitment to sustainable practices in the agricultural commodities’ trading and logistics industry. You will work with our dedicated sustainability team and assist with various projects and initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental & social footprint of our operations/products and promoting ethical and responsible practices throughout the supply chain. Responsibilities include analysing sustainability data, analysing customers’ sustainability ambitions, assessing suppliers, ensuring compliance, etc. You may also engage with stakeholders to promote ethical and responsible practices. The role also involves keeping abreast of industry best practice and contributing to innovative solutions to sustainability challenges in the agro-commodity sector.
Job requirements
Most important is that you can be critical and precise, but also be pragmatic when needed. To be successful within Cefetra, it is essential to have a ‘self-starter’/entrepreneurial mentality, be open minded and curious. You can work both independently as well as with people from across the entire Cefetra Group. In addition, you can identify with the following requirements:
You’re a student at a (professional) university, of a relevant degree programme, like but not limited to: sustainability-related, financial, economic;
You have a strong interest in/affinity for sustainability, which includes environmental and social, as well as economic issues;
You have excellent research and analytical skills and feel comfortable working with larger datasets (quantitative and qualitative);
Working proficiency of basic data analysis tools (most notably Excel) is critical. Working proficiency with Python is considered a pre;
You have a good command of English, written and spoken. You'll communicate in English on a daily basis;
You are available on a full-time (or near-full-time) basis for 6 months, starting between 15 August and 1 September 2025. (shorter period is not possible).
