The job
As Senior Trader - Animal Ingredients, you will be responsible for further developing our animal ingredients portfolio, with a focus on fishmeal, fish oil, and other processed animal by-products (Category 3). In this key commercial position, you will combine market expertise, entrepreneurial drive, and trading skills to help realize our growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities in the animal ingredients sector

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and customers, both nationally and internationally

• Manage the full commercial process independently: procurement, sales, negotiations, and contract management

• Analyse market trends and translate insights into strategic commercial actions

• Share your knowledge of Category 3 regulations and logistics internally, ensuring compliant and efficient operations

Who are you?
To be successful within Cefetra Feed Service as sales manager animal ingredients, it is important that you have a ‘self-starter’ mentality, are open-minded and curious. You should also be able to identify with the following requirements:

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in the trade of animal ingredients (e.g. fishmeal, fish oil, processed animal proteins)

• A broad and active international network within the feed or pet food industry

• Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and logistics related to animal by-products (CAT 3)

• Strong commercial instincts, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to work independently

• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus
