The position

As Senior Quality Officer, you will be part of the QESHS team working for both the Dutch and overseas sites. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Department in Alkmaar.

The tasks associated with this position are:

• You will engage with customers to understand quality expectations and ensure that our products meet and exceed these standards; 

• You assist in managing service providers and logistic partners with initiatives to ensure food safety compliance;

• You will be responsible for ensuring and improving food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance throughout our supply chain.

• Maintain, update, and improve our quality manual;

• Investigate customer and supplier complaints through root cause analyses and initiate corrective and preventive actions;

• Provide expertise in quality-related discussions with clients, sales teams, and procurement.

Job requirements

We are looking for an experienced colleague who knows all about quality systems and had knowledge of supply and customer management, so you can help support. Since you are part of our team in Alkmaar, we are looking for someone who is living in the Alkmaar region.

You also have:

• MBO/NLQ4/HBO or academic in Food technology or a related field;

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the food industry;

• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions under pressure;

• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (IFS, BRC, FSSC 22000) and regulations;

• Fluent in English and at least basic Dutch.
