The job
As Financial Controller at Cefetra B.V. in Rotterdam, you play a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of our financial administration and reporting. In close collaboration with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, you maintain strong internal controls over financial flows and risks, contribute to meaningful reporting for internal and external stakeholders, and drive continuous improvements in processes and ways of working.
You are comfortable working with complex data, challenging figures where needed, and enjoy translating numbers into clear, actionable insights. By proactively sharing your knowledge, you help strengthen the finance function within a dynamic, international environment. In this position, you will be responsible for:
Manage the day-to-day financial administration and month-end closing activities (AP/AR/GL), ensuring accurate and complete records.
Deliver timely monthly reporting, including reconciliations between trade and financial applications, and support a smooth close process.
Analyze financial data and translate outcomes into clear internal and external reporting, including CSRD-related insights where applicable.
Support the preparation of annual accounts and act as a key contact during external audits, ensuring documentation is audit ready.
Maintain, strengthen and help implement the internal control framework, monitoring key controls and financial risks.
Drive process optimization and continuous improvement across finance and administrative workflows, partnering with stakeholders to implement practical changes.
Who are you
Most important is that you are critical and analytical, but also pragmatic when needed. To be successful at Cefetra BV, you need to be a self-starter with an open mind and a curious nature. We would love to hear your thoughts on the duties and responsibilities of the role. Ideally:
You have a master’s degree (or equivalent working level) in Finance & Control.
You have a maximum of 5 years' experience in financial administration or accountancy.
You have knowledge of financial reporting standards and principles.
You are fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
