Only eight months after joining Cefetra Polska as a logistics specialist, Katarzyna Gizulewska was asked to become the logistics manager. She is proud of the team she has built since then. Together, they take on many international projects. “You get a lot of opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills.”
To a higher level
Katarzyna joined Cefetra in February 2018 as a logistics specialist. “I had been working for my previous employer for twelve years and I needed a change. To be honest, I was surprised that there is a huge grain market here in the Tri-city area of Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot. It was exciting to start working in a different business with different ways of working. I found it challenging to learn everything in a short period of time, but it worked out well.”
Very well indeed: in October that same year, Katarzyna was asked to become the logistics manager. “I was surprised that Tomasz, the MD, offered me this position. I gradually found my way and took my skills to a higher level. I am quite happy here. There are seven logistics specialists in my team. Soon, another specialist will join us who will be dedicated to dairy ingredients.”

Ask anything
“I am satisfied that we have built a strong team,” says Katarzyna. “They are true specialists. I can go on a holiday without a worry because they know what they’re doing. And if they don’t know because there’s something new, they know who to ask about it and they can solve the problem by themselves. You can ask anything.”
It’s part of the freedom you get within your job at Cefetra. “We don’t have to take a lot of steps before something gets done. I like our company’s flat structure. At my previous job, there were many directors, and you had to wait quite some time for answers or confirmation. Here, you can take more responsibility, and make decisions by yourself.”
New experiences
“My colleagues say they like coming to the office. Of course, they can also work from home, but there are lots of interesting conversations in our open space. We share a lot of information with the trade department, the execution department, and with each other. Being at the office often helps us to solve problems quickly.”
“What they also like about working in our logistics team, is the fact that you can experience something new every day. Because of new ingredients, but also because of our international projects. We collaborate with Cefetra BV in The Netherlands, with Cefetra Ltd. in the UK, with Cefetra Ibérica in Spain. We also work together with Tracomex and BioCore. There are many good connections within Cefetra Group. And a lot of opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills.”
