Aya Elsayed became a seasoned risk manager at various banks. After obtaining her second master’s degree, she ventured out of her familiar line of work. She joined Cefetra Group in Rotterdam. ‘The world of commodities is a whole new branch for me. Cefetra has made it easy for me to adapt.’
‘Back home in Egypt, I worked at several international banks. I completed my second master’s degree in Banking & Finance at Utrecht University, following an MBA in Banking and Risk Management from ESLSCA Paris. I intended to find a job in banking outside of The Netherlands, but then I came across this opportunity at Cefetra Group.’

‘I worked as an effects trader for two years at the National Bank of Egypt. Of course, that was all about currencies, not commodities. This is a whole new branch for me. I was intrigued by this challenge, and Cefetra made it easy for me to start and to adapt. I have a teammate who is a former banker as well, so we have a lot in common. I also enjoy working with my manager, she is a great leader.’
