The Job
As our new Risk Manager you'll work in a small but established team led by Arja Hagenaar, Head of Risk. You will be all-round responsible for Market - and Counterparty risk at group level together with your four direct colleagues.
In this role you signal potential risks for our business, challenge our traders and advise on decisions based on both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Also you'll maintain and improve risk reporting from and towards business entities and towards other stakeholders. You will occasionally have to travel in order to visit other entities and stakeholders as well as attend conferences for further development and growth. Besides the daily business you'll work on projects like:
- Position Performance and Risk Analysis;
- Prices series analysis;
- Support further Risk database development;
- Development of Risk Policy / Procedures.
Job requirements
Most important is that you can be critical and precise, but also pragmatic when needed. To be successful within Cefetra, it is important to have a ‘self-starter’ mentality, be open minded and curious. In addition, you can identify with the following requirements:
- you are able to tackle a challenge by looking from different perspectives and to formulate a solid advice. A “true analyst with an entrepreneurial spirit”;
- you have an excellent command of English (both verbally and written);
- you have relevant experience in credit-, market risk and/or compliance and want to further your career in this field of expertise;
- your educational background is equivalent to a master degree in Business, Economics, Econometrics or comparable;
- you have basic understanding of agricultural trading.
