The Cefetra Group consists of various agricultural and food ingredients trading and supply chain management companies, with leading brands within the ingredients business. Collectively we employ over 700 people across 35 offices in 20 countries around the world. During its over 100-year long history, the group has undergone many changes related to what it trades and how it trades. We have identified regenerative farming as a key contributor to achieving our and third parties’ carbon emission reduction goals for the future. The Cefetra Group plays a central role in translating consumer needs into measurable action on farming practises. Whilst this is an activity with sustainability outcomes, Cefetra Ecosystem Services is primarily about providing commercial supply chain solutions to our trading partners.
The Job
As Business Developer at Cefetra Ecosystem Services you will be part of a team within Cefetra Group. Together with Uwe Schröder and a growing team of colleagues across from many of our offices, you will be partnering with farmers and farming communities throughout Europe, to provide a connection to those who are willing to reduce their emission and environmental impact from agricultural production. We build bridges in our own supply chain and our own organisation and our many customers in the food, animal feed, energy and beverage industries.
Cefetra Ecosystem Services has been running for a little over a year. Now we are looking for you, to support us with:
Execution and design of commercial agreements. Contracts, document flow, legal, regulatory, risk checks.
Customer care and development. Product offerings are often tailor made.
Marketing to individual clients and developing product strategies and approaches to customers.
Working with external platforms, initiatives and service providers to create productive partnerships and coalitions.
Sales and Marketing.
Internal and external client care.
Who are you
Most importantly, you're passionate about being involved in new business initiatives and being creative about dealing with internal and external clients. To be successful within Cefetra, it is important to have a ‘self-starter’ mentality, be open minded and curious. Ideally:
Your educational background is equivalent to a master's degree in business, economics, marketing, agronomy or comparable.
You have 1-3 years of working experience in a commercial environment, ideally connected to commodities, agricultural or similar.
You are a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable with large amounts of information.
You have an excellent command of English (both verbally and written), any additional languages are a plus.
You are capable to work in a team structure as well as independently.
You can identify what needs to be done in a professional and ever-changing environment as part of a team that is scaling up.
You have an attention for detail and enjoy engaging with clients and stakeholders in several countries and all levels of the organisation.
